It is with great joy and excitement that we give you a heads up on Bear Creek Students’ main event of this school year – D-Now! “Discipleship-Now” weekends are designed to stir the passion for God in the lives of your teens and disciple them on a deeper more intimate level.
The theme this year is “Rescued,” based on Colossians 1:13-14. “For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.”
Teens have a need to be rescued. The needs. can range from reoccurring sins, to lifestyles, to deep hurts, past mistakes, or dangerous mindsets but the reality is THIS: God came to rescue His children from every form of darkness and He is faithful to that end! Our mission for
D-Now this year is for your teen to walk in that reality. Ryan Taylor, an amazingly gifted speaker, will dive into this topic with them and group leaders will engage them in discussion with other teens their age.
We are going to kick off this weekend with a lot of energy on Friday night! There will be a live concert, food, and an elaborate scavenger hunt! Each night, their group leaders will bring them to a host home (which will be one of our screened and trusted church members) to stay the night with 8 other students their age. Saturday will be full of amazing worship, teaching, and also include an epic outdoor activity that they will remember… long after this event is over! They will return to their host home Saturday night, and we will finish the weekend at church on Sunday morning. This will be a safe and fully supervised discipleship event that you do not want your teen to miss.
The weekend will cost only $30, and includes a t-shirt, and food for the weekend! So be ready to get your teen signed up. Registration opens January 9th at bearcreekstudents.org - JUST CLICK THE RESCUED IMAGE.
