T- Breakout Sessions Designed Primarily for Teachers, C- Breakout Sessions Designed Primarily for Coordinators, SG- Breakout Sessions Designed Primarily for Small Group Leaders, L- Breakout Sessions Designed for all Leaders

FIRST SESSION

¨Fearfully and Wonderfully Made (T) - It all started in the womb “when the days were ordained for me when as yet there was not one of them.” Good news, Bad news – God created us in His image but we are all very different in our flesh. Candy has to write it to learn it. Aaron has to see it to learn it. Please join Paige Davis as she shares the different learning styles with us and teaching methods needed in order to present our lessons in such a way to bring life to all members of our group.

¨Seeing Tomorrow Today (SG) – What would happen in the life of our faith family if over the next year we were able to connect 250 adults to a small group for discipleship, care, and accountability? Join Aaron as he casts the vision that God has given the Adult Ministries Team. Not for those who only walk by sight – faith will be required!

¨Be the Glue (C) – Now that you have said yes to being an ABF Coordinator, how do you keep it all together and keep everyone on the same page and working towards the same goal? You be the glue! Join JoAnne Underhile as she shares with you some basic building blocks that will help your ABF prosper when they are put into place on Sunday and during the week.

¨Have You Made a Basket Lately? (T & C) – If not, it may be because you are tired and the Lone Ranger leading your group. John Wooden once said that “ The guy who puts the ball through the hoop has ten hands.” Please join Candy as she gives you some proven Christian principles on how to identify potential leaders and what to do with them once you have found them in order to lighten your load and grow others into leadership.

SECOND SESSION

¨How to Make the Words Jump Off the Page! (T) - God’s Word gives us life but most people need a little help in making the Bible real in their life. Join Aaron as he walks us through 3 building blocks of a lesson that are necessary to lay God’s foundation in the lives of your class members.

¨Discipleship and Accountability – Friends or Foes? (C) - “Do you want to love people? Then help them keep their commitments to God. Are you willing to have well-intentioned, spiritually motivated believers become hostile and turn on you? Then help them keep their commitments to God.” Please join Candy as we discuss the love/hate relationship between Discipleship and Accountability.

¨Making the Vision a Reality (SG) – Now that you’ve caught the vision for lives being changed, how do we make it happen? Prayer is the starting place but then we have to actually roll up our sleeves, and get to work. Join us as we share with you how to start laying the necessary foundation with the proper elements to ensure a great start up for your group.

¨Making Disciples -Is it About the Depth of Character and Spiritual Passion or a Plan for Church Growth? (L) - We all know that when we became Christ followers that we needed to learn about Jesus’ words, learn how Jesus did ministry and imitate His life and character. But it does not stop there. We must invest in the lives of others. Join Cole as he walks us through what it means to be a true disciple and disciple maker.

¨Help! I’ve Fallen and Can’t Get Up! (L) – People are hurting all around us and as we welcome them into our ABFs and lives, it can get messy when they come to us looking for help. Most of us are not trained counselors and it can scare the beejeebers out of us when someone comes to us in crisis because we are afraid we will say or do the wrong thing. Join Ty as he shares some appropriate, healthy ways for you to be able to interact with those that are hurting and when to recommend them to someone with a little more training.

THIRD SESSION

¨It’s Not about the Numbers (C) - God’s primary concern for people is not task related; it is all about relationships. It’s the little things that count when dealing with people. Learn why the “BIG R” is vital in the life of your ABF or Small Group. Without it, true discipleship and meaningful spiritual growth cannot take place.

¨Ready, Set, Go! (SG) – You’ve caught the vision, learned how to make it a reality and now it is time to get started. Leading a Small Group is very different from teaching a class and the dynamics of a Small Group really influence how the group time needs to be spent. Join Cole as he shares his heart and experience with what makes a healthy Small Group.

¨10 Questions to Diagnose Your Spiritual Health (L) – As leaders, we must continually be growing in Christ if we expect to effectively feed others. In order to do this, we must be willing to take an honest, hard look at where we are spiritually. Do you thirst for God? Do you have a growing concern for the spiritual and temporal needs of others? Are you more loving? Join Erin Wilkins as she lovingly challenges us with the 10 Questions we must constantly ask ourselves to serve the Lord to His glory.
