We had a great huddle. About sixty leaders braved the cold and skipped the NFL playoff game to be a part of the New Year's Revolution. What is the revolution, it is the complete change Jesus brings in a persons life as they become disciples. That is what our focus as adults leaders should be all about.

We kicked things off with some great Mexican food prepared by Diana and Jaime Arredondo, and then opened with an awesome time of prayer. Leaders shared around their table what they needed prayer for in their own lives and for their Bible Fellowships. Then they joined in praying for each other. I am encouraging every leader who was there to continue praying for the other leaders who were at their table. That way every leader knows they have a few prayer champions lifting them up.

 After the prayer time we got down to business with several agenda items. Here is what we covered. Click on any of the items to see the summary for that item.

Snow Day is going to be an awesome day for kids. The focus for this event is reaching our community and giving us great momentum going forward into the Spring. We will have artificial snow fields outside for the kids to play with different activities for each age group.

Snow Day is an ABF serve day. ABFs will not meet in their classes this day. We are asking each ABF to pick an area and volunteer to serve together on that day. Please inspire and enlist the adults in your class to volunteer to serve with their Bible Fellowship. You can help in the Children's area, Preschool, or as a greeter.

There are two main reasons that we are not having ABFs this day. 1) It is a great opportunity for ABFs to serve. Remember that involving in ministry is one of our core objectives for Bible Fellowships. 2) We are hopinh to cut down on the number of kids here multiple hours. Obviously we will have a lot of kids here from the community and kids that are here 2 or 3 hours multiply the affect of that. If you are serving, it is fine for your child to be here more than one hour.

Hot Topics and New Study Launch  ·  January 30

The Sunday after Snow Day, we will launch a new round of Hot Topics and New Studies. This will be another big push to get people into a Bible Fellowship. We will do substantial promotion about Bible Fellowships and about the new studies starting. We will also provide breakfast that morning. Try and align the start of your new study with this day for the best effect. Please let Aaron know what you are studying or if you are interested in doing a Hot Topic.

A big part of the success for these days comes not from our mass promotion, but the individual contacts and invitations of the Bible Fellowship leaders. At the huddle, everyone was provided with a copy of your roll with some current attendance numbers on it and a list of recent prospects. We want to challenge you to try and call everyone on your roll to invite them. However, if that task is too much to tackle for your team, Candy has highlighted key people to contact on these rolls for you to focus on first. These are people who will benefit the most from getting a call based on their attendance and trends. The recent prospect lists include people who have visited Bear Creek multiple times recently and are considered to be people with a high potential of connecting. Lists of recent new members not in a Bible Fellowship will be provided first to those groups doing Hot Topics and selected new classes. Every year in March three things converge in a mysterious way to make hundreds of our people disappear- the beginning of Daylight Savings Time, Spring Break, and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. From March 6-20 people will be pulled in all different directions by these "powerful forces." Circle March 27 for your search and rescue mission. We will launch new Hot Topics and Studies this day. If you want your people to be back in your Bible Fellowship, you are going to have to get them. Plan on starting a new study or doing a Hot Topic study. Make calls, emails, and write notes. Plan for some to bring food and have a breakfast fellowship. Bring your people out of the March Bermuda Triangle safely depends on  it! 

The rodeo kicks off March 1 and runs through March 20.
