Leave the Light On

It's a dark night in a lot of ways. Don't add to it by turning out your porch light and going to bed early. Leave the porch light on and stock up on candy. As neighbors come by for a trick or treat give them the candy they came for with the added bonus of a tract and/or invite card to church.

Instructions

1. Stock up on candy.
2. Attach tracts, invite cards, or labels with scripture on them to your candy.
3. Turn the porch light on and wait for the neighbors to come to you.
4. Look for opportunities to meet those who come by your house. Introduce yourself to them, and begin to learn who they are.

The Bottom Line
This may be the easiest thing on the list to do. It is especially good if you don’t have kids, but still want to reach the families on your street.

Other Tips

-Printing scripture labels on your computer and applying them to your candy can be an easy way to attach a message to your goodies.
-Move your act outside onto the driveway with a lawn chair and a big bucket of candy. You will be able to meet more people, and get a feel for your neighborhood.
-Kids many times love peing a part of this. They will have a lot of fun sticking labels on the candy and racing to be the first one to the door to hand out their candy and special gifts.
