Walk the Walk

Don't have kids or don’t want to partake in the sugar-induced festivities? How about prayer walking during the peak trick or treat hours? You can pray for your neighbors and those out trick or treating. Your presence might also discourage some mischievous behavior.

Instructions

1. Walk your street or your neighborhood during the peak trick-or-treat hours
2. Pray for your neighbors, the homes around you, and the families in the homes.
3. Pray for people you see out trick-or-treating.

The Bottom Line

Prayer walking has become a vital part of missions around the world. It really taps into the real spiritual power and you can change things around you by trusting in God.

Other Tips

-Stop and talk with neighbors who are out and about. You might even let them know you are praying for the neighborhood and ask them how you can pray for them.
-Keep some invite card and tracts on hand to give to anyone who you get the opportunity to talk with. Invite your neighbors personally to church with you. Studies continue to show that over half of all people would go to church if someone simply asked them.
-Take a couple of people with you for added safety.
-Combine your prayer walking with a prayer gathering of your ABF or Small Group. Everyone can meet together, head out in groups, and meet back up to share and pray together.
